Mental health is an important part of well-being. Counseling can improve how you function at work, home and in your relationships.
I offer mental health and health behavior counseling. My approach is eclectic and I draw from ACT, CBT, Mindfulness Practices, and brain science. I have a solution focused orientation. The duration of counseling can be brief or intermittent ("as needed"). Counseling can consist of learning about feelings, needs, thoughts and behaviors.
If you are new or interested in counseling consider the following:
You don't need to have a mental illness or be in a crisis to seek counseling.
Even brief short term or intermittent sessions can be helpful for getting you back on course.
Friendships are great but sometimes a therapeutic professional is needed.
You are not broken, weak or crazy.
You can choose to grow and be imperfect at the same time.
Not growing is also a choice.
